1. Pay attention to the signals from your body

Pay attention to what makes your body feel good. Pay attention to what kind of day makes you feel tense, sore or in pain. If you workout this applies to training as well. Check your energy levels. Do you feel like taking a nap, or going to bed and skip the gym today? If you are feeling motivated, but your body is tired, listen to your body. This is not the same thing as slacking. If you are a determined and consistent person, it’s ok to take a day off once in a while.

2. Really Listen

A good tip for being present is to focus on the person you are speaking with when they are talking. It’s easy to think of what your response is, or something else entirely when someone is talking. Practice really listening to what people are saying. The people you are talking to will also notice a difference.

3. Be a student of life

4.  Celebrate the good stuff

It’s not just about gratitude. Once common suggestions for people is to be grateful. Instead this tip is to simply celebrate the “good stuff” in life. The little things in each day that are good are worth being present for. Taste it, feel it, and enjoy all of the good in your life.
